The Preformed Asphaltic Expansion Joint Sealant Strip consists of a plastoelastic preformed sealant based on non-oxidized asphalt with mineral reinforcement loads, designed to create an extrudable and preformed bituminous mix. It excels in weather resistance, even in extreme temperatures, remains impermeable with moderate chemical resistance to saline and moderate alkaline solutions, and exhibits good adhesion to common construction surfaces. The sealant is quick to set, non-shrinking upon cooling, highly durable even in variable climates, suitable for joints of 1.5 to 2 cm wide with a maximum permissible movement of +/- 5%, on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Application temperature ranges from 15 to 40°C, and it should not be heated beyond the specified temperatures. Ensure not to bond the sealant at the joint's bottom in elevated works.
