WHAT IS A BRO PAIR?

A Bro Pair is a person who moves into a host family’s house to work for them for a year. During that period of time, they will take care of their children in return for accomodation, food and a weekly salary, apart from the opportunity to work and study abroad.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AU PAIR AND BRO PAIR?

There is only one difference, which is that the Bro Pair program is aimed for the male gender, while the Au Pair one is aimed at females. Regarding tasks and obligations, these are the same as in the other program. Yet, when it comes to the requirements you need to meet before applying, the Bro Pair program is a bit more demanding and rigorous than the other one.

BRO PAIR REQUIREMENTS 

Age: You have to be between 18 and 26 years old to apply.

Experience: You need to have a minimum of 500 hours of childcare experience.

Education: You need to have completed High School (or have an equivalent level).

Driver's license: Apart from having a valid driver’s license, you need to have at least one year of driving experience.

Certificate of Good Conduct: It is given by the RNR and proves that you don’t have a criminal record.

Good Health.

Commitment to stay: You need to be willing to spend at least 12 months abroad.

English level: Medium to High.

These are the most common requirements, although the list may vary depending on the company.

WHERE CAN I BECOME A BRO PAIR?

This type of experience is offered in many countries. Some of these are: the United States, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Japan and the United Kingdom.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I EARN WORKING AS A BRO PAIR?

This depends on the regulations that each country has regarding working hours, which may vary between 20 to 45 hours per week, depending on the place. Taking that into consideration, the salary may vary between USD 200 to USD 800.
