The poster reproduces the artwork "Icon" (1945) by Remedios Varo (Anglès, Girona, 1908 - Mexico City, 1963), a central figure in surrealism and Latin American fantastic art, and an unavoidable reference in the mid-20th-century Mexican art scene. Displayed in "Remedios Varo: Constellations," the artist's first retrospective exhibition in Argentina at Malba from March 6 to June 15, 2020.

"There is a ritual and/or sacred character in this work, derived from its Byzantine-style structure, in the manner of an icon, as referred to in the title of the piece, which houses the image on a small altar with two doors that protect it, painted on the outside with a tree and a guide. Each door of this piece has on its inner face and at the center the inscription of a letter that has been interpreted by researcher Ricardo Ovalle, in the reasoned catalog of this artist published in Mexico in 1994, as a 'G', with references to the Russian mystic author George Gurdjieff, whom Remedios Varo studied deeply alongside Eva Sulzer." - commented by Eugenia Macías in the bibliographic record of the piece belonging to the Malba Collection.
