La tradición textil mapuche tiene sus orígenes en el período Precolombino. El hilado es tejido en telares armados con palos y ataduras.  Usan lana de oveja hilada a mano y teñida con raíces, plantas y cenizas.

Mapuche´s textiles come from southern Andes, provinces of Neuquen, Riio Negro and Chubut.

The origin of mapuche textile tradition is pre-Columbian.They use sheep wool, hand spinned and dyed with roots, plants and ash. The loom is made with sticks and joinings
