For new masonry or concrete surfaces, a curing period of at least three months should be observed, or you can wash the surface with acid to remove any alkalinity. In case the surface is very smooth, washing with acid will also provide the necessary texture for better adhesion.

For existing surfaces, ensure to clean any contaminants using detergent and water, followed by a rinsing with bleach. Remove any loose or bubbled sections with a brush or scraper before applying a diluted sealer. After filling imperfections with San Agustín Putty, give it time to dry before sanding and then reapply the sealer.
