Fernet with Yerba Mate? The most controversial combination made in Argentina

We came up with the idea of mixing two Argentine classics: Mate and Fernet, we nicknamed it Fermate and generated controversy. They are two of the most consumed beverages by Argentines, but will it be good to drink them together?

Latinafy is a company that ships products from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and other Latin American countries to the rest of the world. From food, such as dulce de leche, alfajores or yerba mate and fernet, to board games, kitchen and decoration items, national team t-shirts, books and much more.

Reaching more than 70 countries, such as France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Israel, United States and Canada, they make Latinos miss their roots less. If you live abroad you can make your purchase here.

We published a reel in our Instagram and Tiktok accounts, where we unite two potencies such as mate and fernet. When we thought of the idea, we didn't know if it was going to work, we really had many doubts. But this fusion ended up surprising us, because of how rich it turned out to be.

However, the mixture generated controversy, some loved it and others hated it. Some of the comments were: "Great! I'm going to try it!!!" "I tried it a few years ago, it's the best" and even commented from Fernet Branca's official account: "Tell me you are Argentine, without telling me you are Argentine". Others did not like the idea very much, and commented things like: "Is it a joke?", "Don't ruin the mate" or "What is thaaaaat?".

And although many took positions in favor or against, many had doubts and looked for accomplices to encourage them to try it: "I'm afraid but I want to try it NOW" or tagged friends saying "Are you up for it?"

If you dare, try it, you can even add a little ice and it is the ideal drink for the summer.
What do you think? Leave us your comments.
