Protex 216 - 1 kg. Protex 216 is a 2-component epoxy system with gel characteristics, specifically formulated as a bonding bridge between hardened and fresh cementitious surfaces, compliant with ASTM C 881 Type V Class C Grade II standards. It facilitates the application of new coatings on damaged floors, the construction of complex structures, and the resumption of interrupted concrete work without weak joints forming. It offers strong adhesion to materials like iron, wood, etc., onto fresh concrete or mortar. Ideal for injecting into narrow cracks and fissures (less than 2 cm). The epoxy adhesive is quick and easy to apply, doesn't contract during setting, forms a monolithic block, and exhibits greater strength than denser concrete. It provides better adhesion to concrete than the concrete's own tensile strength. After curing, it remains waterproof and steam-resistant, advantageous for affixing new floor coatings. It resists most acids, alkalis, solvents, and oils commonly used in various industries. Working time varies between 45-60 minutes depending on temperature. Mechanical strength at 7 days; chemical resistance at 14 days. Consumption: Approximately 0.300 to 0.500 kg/m2 at 150-200 microns depending on substrate absorption, roughness, and application method.
